Before we know it the grass is amongst us yet again. historically with many punters/tipsters this can be an awkward period with fresh horses competing and recent form can be hard to come by. still makes the winners more the sweeter. i tend to use slightly different tactics during april and may to try and compensate that, anyway thats another day. Yesterday gave us one winner again with divine rule prevailing in the first, almost had inciting incident at 8/1 in the last but just fell short.Ok here we go today with selections from a great meeting at doncaster.

FRUSTRATING DAY.

certainly was a frustrating day yesterday and for a change no winners. in the first laughing rock almost got a place, the next was sad when win pick mucky molly travelling well went wrong and had to be destroyed. davids secret was a disappointment but still one im keeping an eye on he will come good at some stage off his current mark. heirarch in the 3.40 almost won but just mugged on the line, and in the last both nellies quest and general tufto framed but found one too good. So yeah a day of frustration still love it lol. Ok there are no picks for tommorrow as southwell is only flat meet and as ive mentioned in my welcome page i dont select from there. Will be back refreshed for wednesdays meets. speak soon.

2.10 TIME FOR LAMBRINI WIN.  this one represents possibly a huge chance at a huge price, ran better last time and a return to 5 furlongs will suit, has won here and gone well at class 4 level. i have him top rated and its mark is very tempting. currently 16/1 so can offer place value also.
2.40 BOGSNOG WIN.  TOP COP E/WAY.

WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN.

Could have been a belter today, in the first LITMUS ran well and finished second at 14/1. Nice winner in the next with e/way advised PRESUMIDO obliging at 5/1 i had at 7s earlier. then onto the 4.05 with both my selections BROCKLBANK & LIVING THE LIFE placing unfortunately found one better, but did get some place money back. then MR RED CLUBS in the next just beaten into second. In the last my value selection of the day SYNCOPATE just missed out at great odds of 25/1. So only the one winner today but so close to a belter. frustrating but strangely exciting.

NON RUNNER.

In the 5.10 from lingfield we have a non runner my e/way selection ARABIAN HEIGHTS has been withdrawn so replacing with APACHE GLORY. in some ways im glad one has been withdrawn as i was toying with these two last night and now the decisions being made for me. you can get 20/1 for apache glory may shorten.

SELECTIONS 19.03.14.

Here we go with lingfields selections for tuesday. these look very competitive handicaps and one of the better mid week meets ive seen for a while. lets get our teeth into this lot.

LING 2.00 LITMUS WIN.  PETERSBODEN E/WAY. tough race to call and rate, litmus is currently 10/1 but really holds a great chance, this is an easier assignment and the run 2 back is better than it looks.
LING 2.30 SHIFTING STAR E/WAY PRESUMIDO WIN. shifting star another at good odds now 9/1 and holding a great chance, good run 2 back over c/d and mark not moved, well treated at present.
LING 4.05 BROCKLEBANK WIN.  LIVING THE LIFE E/WAY.
LING 4.40 MR RED CLUBS WIN  GREENSWARD E/WAY. greenward could have been drawn better and history shows his best runs are when drawn low so a draw no of 11 today doent help its cause, however liam kienry is back in the saddle and they have a decent record together, dont see the win but could very well place at a decent price.  i advised mr red clubs last time and fancy him going in again even with the rise this looks no harder than last time win.
LING 5.10 SYNCOPATE WIN.  ARABIAN HEIGHTS E/WAY. now this could provide us with another big price winner in the shape of syncopate. something wrong last time out but has had a break and if fit which should be can resume from where he was in december, ran well 2 back at class 4 and nice win 3 back. clearly likes it here and at present you can get 16/1. its entirely possible this could shorten come post time.

good start from wolverhampton with the expected TEE IT UP TOMMO obliging but with a few close ones thereafter had to wait until the last but well worth the wait, SPANISH PLUME going in at 7/1 could have had it at 10s. so another profitable day. there will be no se;ections 2moro as only flat is at the dreaded southwell and as ive mentioned before i do not advise from there. will be back 2moro evening with wednesdays picks.

back on the flat and another nice set of results. yet again a one two in the first not the way i had it with my win pick DIAMOND VINE just failing by a nose,but e/way pick CATALYZE just held on, as i mentioned in my original post would be best to get on him early, when i posted you could get 6/1 ended up 5/4. Then onto the 6.10 and e/way pick CADIUM LOCH obliges at great odds of 14/1 i had it at 16s. considering his good return run from winter break i was amazed how unfancied he was especially when you see what he did here this time last year. the 7.10 and 8.10 produced nil and CABUCHON in the 8.40 was a non runner. not complaining more profit cant be sneezed at. there are no selections for sunday will post mondays later.

Was looking a frustrating first day at cheltenham, 3rd in the first, 3rd in the second, poor old our conor fatally injured but at the end of the day PRESENT VIEW popped up for us at nice odds winning at 8/1. never had a real chance to look at early races from wolves but do have one now, it is close to post but feel strongly about this one and offers some real place value.
WOLVES 7.45 CAPE OF HOPE E/WAY you can get around 18/1 at present. with PRESENT VIEW keeping us in profit could be a nice way to end off a reasonable day.

Here we are, cheltenham again. this really is a fantastic festival and has to be one of if not the most adored week in racing. As ive mentioned in the past i am a flat racing tipster but love the jumps also and save my tipping for festivals like these. if this dont get the racing blood pumping then nothing will. ok here are my free tips for the first of lets hope 4 profitable days. I will be as usual advising both win and place selections where i see fit, but with prices generally been so generous you may decide to stake as e/way. Your choice good luck and enjoy. 2.30 GYPSY RIDER WIN.  COACH MONTANA E/WAY. both are great value at present and normally i would advise both as e/way but really like the look of gypsy riders chances and am advising the full win bet.you can currently get 12/1 for gypsy and 25/1 for montana. ran better last time and the drop in trip could be the answer, has won over this trip in the past.
3.30 WATT BRODERICK WIN.  ROYAL MARSKELL E/WAY. this one is 12/1 at present and running well in defeat, i have him well rated and holds every chance.
4.30 OUTBACKER WIN.  CANT CHANGE IT E/WAY.
5.00 ZED CANDY GIRL WIN.  HEART BEAT SONG E/WAY. zed candy is 7/1 right now and is in with a great chance my top rated of the race. heart beat song is a massive 33/1 at present and has been understandably overlooked,but lat 2 runs were on slow surfaces and at the wrong distance. interesting that its best run was on the all weather last april. on a good mark and 2nd in my ratings, has gone well fresh so the break may have done him good.

Fair to say had better days, just didnt go our way today but thats racing it always brings you back to earth. just the one winner today with TIZLOVE REGARDLESS winning but very short odds and was a shoe in really. i really liked the chances of SEEK THE FAIR LAND  and ran well as i thought just mugged on the line. There are no picks for tuesday as only southwell on the flat and as ive stated before i dont back from there.
